The new facility includes 24 courtrooms and 32 justice chambers. Herrick was responsible for designing the temporary shoring system that supported “the cube” during construction. The building is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification, due to such innovations as the serrated facade, which maximizes views from the interior and cuts down on up to 50% of heat generated from solar rays.
